The PY1 Safe2Live team produced the informative, engaging, and ethnically-gender-balanced hip/hop 30 second Public Service Announcement, Safe2Live©, funded by Cable Positive-Tony Cox Community Fund to inform youth about the HIV virus: In 2009, the Safe2Live© HIV/AIDS Awareness, Education and Prevention Campaign was promoted in Baltimore City and County through local cable networks and radio stations, and promoted globally via the internet. The Safe2Live© Public Service Announcement, targeting youth audiences, was broadcasted during the summer of 2009 by Comcast Cable and aired 833 times in Baltimore City and County to support HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, May 18, 2009; and National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, May 19, 2009. The Safe2Live© radio Public Service Announcement was also aired by Radio One 92Q, WQSR and 88.1 FM in May of 2009. |
